With experience as a former Div 1 NCAA football/track athlete, 7+ yr Professional Track Athlete and current 5+ year Div 1 Track coach, Coach Anderson brings a wealth of knowledge, experience at the highest level.
Originally a Southern California native (Los Angeles) Anderson was a late bloomer with a hard work ethic that allowed some success on the gridiron and track junior season at Taft HS. Being heavily recruited nationally for football as a junior, the track season sparked off an amazing run of national attention on the track as well. Started the junior track season an unknown in his repesective events 110/300mH to go on a dramatic drop to being #2 in the State of California in both hurdling events at the 2006 California State meet. Ending that season top 6 in the country. Senior year had a great football season and committed to Washington State University for football prior to senior track season. Was undefeated in senior campaign in the 300mh and broke the National HS Record in the 300mh (35.28) a 22 year old lasting record.
Freshman year at WSU Anderson made it a priority to not be forgot and continue the momentum of success. With hard work being the driving force of his success, he had a great freshman football season as a wide receiver. Going into first collegiate track season his goal was set high being one of the greatest hurdlers to do it. Freshman year he won a Pac-12 400mh championship, Pac-10 Newcomer of the year, West Regional champion in the 400mh and NCAA Div 1 National Champion. Went on to make the World Junior Championship team 2008 in Poland representing Team USA Winning Gold in the 400mH and the 4x4 relay. The success continued over the course of his collegiate career. Winning the NCAA Div 1 Outdoor Individual National Championships in the 400mH 3 out of 4 years (Fresh,Soph, 2nd Junior,Senior). A recipient of the Pac-10 Track Athlete of The Year honor in 2011 and a finalist in the heisman of college track and field the Bowerman.
Nacac Under-23 gold medalist for Team USA in the 400mH and a member of the Pac-12 All-Century Team! Anderson went on to win USA championships in 2011 to make a World Championship team to compete for Team USA. Achieved the 2nd fastest time in the world running 47.93 in the 400mh and competing professionally for Nike over 7 years! As a coach at the Div 1 level, Coach Anderson has had early success with multiple All-Americans in the sprints and hurdles events. Numerous top 10 list appearances from athletes and school record holders. His experience learning and training under legendary HS/college/olympic coaches and success as a multi-sport athlete helped continue the fire to coach and pass knowledge down to athletes of all ages to have growth and success in there respective sports/events.
Highlight
Initially using track & field to support his football training,Jeshua set a National High School Record in the 300m in 2007
at the CIF State Track and Field Championships running 35.28 seconds.
Honors
In 2008 he won two gold medals at the World Junior Championships, Bydgoszcz, Poland, in the 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay.A graduate of Washington State, whilst with the Cougars, Jeshua won 4 Pac-10 titles, 3 NCAA titles and one American National title.
Jeshua won a bronze medal for Team USA as part of the 4x400m relay at the 2015 Pan-Am Games in Toronto, Canada.
